The TOEFL Internet-based test (iBT) will take place in September, October and November. Only students and advising centers in the US, Canada, France, Germany, Italy, Puerto Rico, American Samoa, the US Virgin Islands and Guam are affected right now, but we thought advisers around the world would be interested to know what is happening. Please keep in mind that only these countries are affected by the TOEFL iBT rollout for now. TOEFL iBT Rollout Schedule The new TOEFL iBT test will begin in September. Here’s information on the first phase of the rollout, and when you can expect to know the rest of the schedule. In the United States •TOEFL CBT ends September 15 •TOEFL iBT begins September 24 In Canada, Italy, France and Germany •TOEFL CBT ends October 8 •TOEFL Paper-based (PBT) ends October 15 •TOEFL iBT begins October 22 In Puerto Rico and the US Virgin Islands: •TOEFL CBT (computer-based test) will end on October 22 •TOEFL iBT will begin on November 4 In American Samoa: •TOEFL PBT (paper-based test) will end on October 15 •TOEFL iBT begins November 5 In Guam: •TOEFL CBT will end on October 22 •TOEFL testing will then switch to paper-based testing, starting with the November 19 administration. •TOEFL iBT testing will begin in 2006 Puerto Rico, US Virgin Islands •TOEFL CBT ends October 22 •TOEFL iBT begins November 4 Worldwide The TOEFL iBT rollout schedule for the rest of the world will be announced October 1st. Until TOEFL iBT is administered in a country, the current TOEFL paper-based and computer-based tests and TSE will continue. |
