Registration for TOEFL iBT has now opened for students in the countries and territories listed above. We have created some suggestions for registration below.
Things to Know When Registering for TOEFL iBT
•In the Information and Registration Bulletin at http://ftp.ets.org/pub/toefl/47056_ibt_bulletin.pdf for TOEFL iBT, the list of test locations given represents a general area, not necessarily a specific city. So, for example, Paris can mean Paris itself, or a center within approximately a 50 mile radius. When students register online they can see the actual test center locations.
•Test centers will become available in two phases.
•The first phase of center availability is on July 25, 2005, at Prometric test centers.
•The second phase of center availability is on September 6, 2005, when TOEFL iBT test centers located in high schools, colleges, universities, advising centers, and other locations will be added. Testing at these locations begins November 4.
•Not all test centers are open on all dates.
•When you select a date and general location, you'll see a listing of the available centers in that area. If you were hoping for different centers, try picking a different date.
•If the test centers available in the first phase do not meet your needs, you may wish to wait for the second phase before registering.
•The deadline is 7 days in advance of the test date if registering online or by phone. If registering by mail the deadline is 4 weeks in advance of the test.
•You must select your score recipients (designated institutions to receive your scores) during registration. You may update this information online up until 10:00 p.m. the evening before the test day. You cannot select your score recipients at the test center. See the code list for colleges and universities. This code list is also available during online registration.
