自2007年8月9日开始，澳洲五星级名校蒙纳士大学（MONASH）的多个商科要求提高至7分，单科不低于6.5分。此举引起中国学生比较大的关注。
这些课程包括：
Master of Business Administration (and all double degree courses with the MBA)
Master of Business (Accounting)
Master of Business (Banking and Finance)
Master of Professional Accounting (Stream A and B)
Master of Applied Finance (Stream A and B)
Master of Risk Management
Master of Professional Accounting/Master of Business Law
据了解，2007年8月9日前发出的2008年开学的录取通知书不受影响。另外，已经拿到录取通知书并在8月9日前提出延期开学要求的学生仍适用雅思总分6.5，单项不低于6的要求。
以上课程的英文直升班（ELBP）入学要求亦相应提高，10周ELBP要求雅思总分6.5，写作6.5；15周ELBP要求雅思总分6.0,写作6.0。
以下课程的雅思要求则维持不变，仍然是总分6.5，单项不低于6。
