雅思口语解题要领

一. 雅思口语的虽然话题纷繁复杂,但其主要话题还是主要围绕考生的生活和学习两方面。并且,它都是在原有的话题的基础上,衍生或派生出新话题的,所以,在备考和考试的过程中注意“以不变应万变”十分重要。如第一部分话题就主要围绕“衣、食、住、行”四个字;第二部分的卡片话题主要以“精品卡”为主,派生“变种卡”;第三部分的讨论话题主要是“五大原则”为主线,“以点带面”地对考生进行提问。
二.雅思口语考试考的是考生的英语交际和交流能力,所以能否和考官进行有效的交流是至关重要的基本打分点。考生回答时的思维模式的转变是考试的致胜观点,应随时注意从“螺旋型”思维转为西方人的“直线型”思维。
三. 雅思口语考试的考试形式虽然是考官和考生的互动,但应切记不要太过放松。不要以为You are having a daily communication with a foreigner. 应该是You are having an English communication test with a foreign expert. 考试时该注意的地方还是要注意,例如,只说keyword, 不说一整句话。
四.雅思口语考试是一场考试,不同阶段都有其不同的打分重点,不要一味地以为只要不断地说就行,要注意每部分作答的把握。

(1) Part One:
Where are you living now, a flat or a house? How long have lived there? Do you plan to change it for a new one? Do you live with your parents or by yourself? Do you live in an apartment or a house? Where do you want to live in the future?

An important building in your living place Say something about an important building in your living place. You should say What it is When it was built Where it is What is in it How important it is And explain the reason why it is important. | |
(3) Part Three:
Do you like to live in high-storey buildings? What’s people’s attitude towards high buildings? What do you think of historic buildings? What are the differences between commercial buildings and residential buildings? What kind of people will live in high buildings? What are the differences between commercial buildings and residential buildings as regards to appearance? What are the advantages of living in high buildings? What are the features about commercial buildings and other buildings? What is the unique building in your city? Do you think the appearance of a company building is important? Are the new buildings higher than before?
2. Transportation:
(1) Part One:
What is your favourite transplantation tool? Why do you prefer that? Talk something of the means of transportation in your living place? How to improve China’s public facilities on transportation? What are the improvements on transport in your city? What is the situation of transportation in Chinese village areas? What sort of transport would you use if you were going to have a long-distant trip? What kind of means of transportation will you use in the future?
(2) Part Two:
A. 精品卡
Ideal vehicle Comparing with the current means of transportation, tell the interviewer your ideal vehicle. Be sure to tell the interviewer: What it will be What it will use What function it will have How it will be used And say something about the reasons that why you want to have such a kind of vehicle. | |
B. 变种卡
Means of public transportation Describe a bicycle, a car or a king of means of public transportation. You should say What it is How often you use it How you like it How you plan to own it And explain the reason why you like it. | |
(3) Part Three:
Talk something the transportation in your city. Do you agree with the point that car stands for a person’s status? How can we improve the use of means of public transportation? How can means of public transportation attract more people to use? What are the advantages and disadvantages of means of transportation in your living city? What do you think of a company and the government have their own cars? Talk something about buses in your city. What identity or status do different cars stand for? What do you think of the road condition in China? Is it necessary to rebuild all of them? In which way will be better, bus company is run by the government or is run by the private?
3. Education:
(1) Part One:
Which part of your education did you enjoy most? What the most useful course for you after you’ve grown up? What is your major? Is it suitable for you? Is it popular in China? What influence did your major make during the process of seeking a successful job? Nowadays, many graduates can't find ideal job with high salary because of their major. What is your opinion? What activities do you have at school? Are you a student or do you work? What’s your major? Why do you choose it? What do you think is the difficulty to learn it? What are you most interested in? What are you likes and dislikes of your major? Where do you go to primary school? Have you ever been back there? Have you contacted your classmates of primary school? How did you get along with your classmates? Do you like life on campus? Why?
(2) Part Two:

Learning language Describe a foreign language you want, are learning or have learnt. You should say: What it is When you learnt it How you learnt it How you like it And explain the reason that you want to learn it. | |
B. 变种卡
Something you’ve learnt from another culture Say something interesting you learned from other culture. You should say What is it? How do you learn it? And explain why you think it interesting? | |
A skill you’ve learnt Describe a skill you are good at. You should say: What it is; When and where you learnt it; How often will you do that; How you learnt it; And explain why you like to do that. | |
(3) Part Three:
Can you tell me your understanding of the advantage and disadvantage of living in multi-culture society? Do you think it is important to learn other cultures? Where can we learn about another culture? Which way do you think is good to learn another culture? If you are interest in a culture, do you think it will help you learn that language? Is it a better way to go to a certain country to learn a culture? Do you think the best way to learn language is go to their original country? Child is always presuming that he is more clever than others, don’t they? Why some children are wise than others? How to explore children’s potential? If the child has been noticed to have some potential, how will the parents do to develop it? How to develop children’s initial intelligence? Why do people have different preferences? Is it related to the effect of the environment? Compared with someone’s instructions, which is more influential? What are the factors to improve one’s strong suit? Is the personal ability more important than the motivation in this process? Children are usually arranged to have training courses such as summer camp in holidays or weekends in China. Do you think it is appropriate?
