Students were based at UQ’s three main Southeast Queensland campuses at ST Lucia, Lpswich and Gatton. Each campus offers a distinctive community lifestyle, first-class facilities and a beautiful, safe and modern environment for work, study and recreation.
The University is a founding member of the Group of Eight, a national alliance of research-strong “standstone” universities committed to ensuring that Australia has higher education institutions that are genuinely world class. Internationally, UQ is a member of Universities 21, a select alliance or research-intensive universities dedicated to world-best practice.
UQ has created more world-class research institutes than any other Australian university and maintains strong links with government, the community and industry.
The University’s graduates have a strong record of attaining employment and income levels well above the national average, with UQ qualifications highly regarded by employers. UQ graduates have many strong networks in industries in Australia and internationally.
