Upon completion of the Bachelor of Early Childhood Education(Birth to Five Years) Students are eligible to to seek accreditation as four-year trained early childhood teachers in early childhood settings. Students are also well prepared to complete further study in the field including a Master of Education.
Applicants who hold an AQF level 5, Diploma of Early Childhood Education and Care will be granted up to 80 credit points of specified credit and be able to complete the course in three years.

Bachelor of Education (Early Childhood and Primary)

Graduates are eligible for registration as a primary school teacher in government, independent and Catholic schools, and as an early childhood teacher in the prior to school sector.

If you wish to become a secondary school teacher, ACU offers the following courses leading to secondary teacher registration in Australia:

Secondary school teachers are responsible for teaching up to two main subject areas to students aged 12-18 years. To pursue secondary teaching, you need to have appropriate undergraduate qualifications in:

Accounting, Commerce and business studies, Computing, ESL, Economics, English, Film and Television, History, Languages other than English, Mathematics, Music, Personal development and physical education, Physics, Science, Technology, Visual Arts

Or another approved subject area.

Bachelor of Teaching/Bachelor of Arts (Humanities) (Mathematics) (Technology) (Visual Arts)

4 years full time
Minimum of 80days professional experience
